I’m a PhD student studying what the Brits and the Germans thought about each other (and themselves) in the years after the Second World War.

Among other things, my main interests include all things Anglo-German, issues of national identity and national prejudices, and questions of migration and transnationalism.

I’ll be using this blog to splurge my ideas and mull over interesting findings during my research. Please tell other people about this blog and comment as much as you like – I really do want to know what you think… But please keep criticism constructive to save my ego!

    • Hi Frank. Glad you like the blog and thanks for subscribing! Yours looks fascinating too, so I’ve subscribed. I will definitely try to see that film when it’s released – I studied Rilke’s poetry at university and Lou was always on the periphery; would be great to see a film where she’s the main event. Grüße aus London
